ABOUT KIT
Indus Technical Education Society (ITES), a society promoted by a team of visionary & motivated IIT alumni (Shri P.K. Jain, Shri Vipul Jain, Shri Anil Kumar Agarwal & Smt. Neena Verma) established an institute Kanpur Institute of Technology (An Autonomous Institute), popularly known as KIT, in 2004 and Kanpur Institute of Technology and Pharmacy (KITP) in 2009. KIT runs B. Tech, MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA and Polytechnic courses and KITP runs B. Pharma and D. Pharma courses. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (formerly U.P.T.U., Lucknow). The courses are approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute is ISO 9001:2015. certified for it’s up to the mark quality systems and best practices in technical and professional education.
Kanpur Institute of Technology (KIT) has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation council), an independent body of UGC, New Delhi (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) on July 08, 2023 Grade “A” with a CGPA 3.20. KIT is an only institute who received this accolade in first cycle in Kanpur. Institute always focuses on quality education leading to successful and satisfying placements of students. In fulfilling the vision of NEP 2020, Kanpur Institute of Technology has been conferred an autonomous status by UGC, New Delhi for 10 years i.e. from 2024-25 to 2034-35. The institute is very easily accessible; it is located in Rooma, on Kanpur – Allahabad Highway, 6 Kilometers away from Ramadevi round over.
